Nearly Gone

This Peach book by Elle Cosimano will keep you up long past bedtime! Lots of characters; lots of potential killers. Nearly Boswell is super smart, but that's all she has going for her. She is desperate to win a chemistry scholarship and get out of her worn down trailer park. The competition is tough and her close friend is her main competitor. No time for boys - except her best friend Jeremy. He keeps her grounded with Twinkies. But then the messages start appearing in the strangest places, followed by the bodies - with their own peculiar numbers. The police are adding up the clues and so is the new bad boy, Reece. Soon... "All the numbers add up to one killer... herself "   PS - We have the sequel too :)

The 5th Wave

Here it is, Peach readers! The trailer for The 5th Wave has FINALLY been released. One of last year's Peach titles; a can't-put-it-down, post-apocalyptic, alien invasion, action-adventure smash. Can't wait for 2016! Click here. PS - we also have the sequel in the Library :)

Caged Warrior

Mixed martial arts fans, this one's for you! McCutcheon Daniels' father has BIG plans for his talented teenaged son. The kind that don't include school. McCutcheon "BamBam" Daniels is working toward the big time by fighting his way through the no rules, underground cage fights in Detroit. What no one in the fighting world cares about is why. McCutcheon's loyalty and love for his baby sister and his determination to raise her right is the only thing guiding McCutcheon's life. He sees fighting as the only way out for both of them, despite the fact that McCutcheon's brain power is getting him noticed too - in school, and Daddy ain't happy about it. When McCutcheon gets a chance for a new start at a prestigious prep school, does he dare take it? Twister of an ending that will get you in the gut. I have the sequel on order!

Killer of Enemies

Just finished Bruchac's Killer of Enemies, this year's post-apocalyptic thriller. Known for his historical fiction, Bruchac leaps into sci-fi while keeping the historical and mythological elements of his Native American roots. The main character is Lozen, a seventeen year old Apache woman who is forced to track down and kill genetically modified monsters to protect the people of Haven - who include her hostage mother, sister and brother. She has extrasensory perception and is extremely talented at her job. She faces giant snakes, buffalo-armadillos, and vampires (of course). She has very few friends but those few are quite special, for lack of a better word. Full force action. Lots of strategy, blood and bad guys. This book will keep you reading - the bigfoot alone is worth it!
